QC Officer
A Quality Control (QC) Employee at Roveg is primarily responsible for ensuring that all fruit and vegetables meet the required quality and food safety standards before being delivered to customers. The role combines inspection, evaluation, documentation, and close collaboration with the production, warehouse, and commercial teams to maintain the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.
What will you do?
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect the quality of incoming and outgoing fruit and vegetable products.
- Assess products based on criteria such as:Colour
- Ripeness
- Firmness
- Size
- Physical damage
- Mould or decay
- Temperature
- Perform quality inspections throughout the production process.
- Collect samples for quality and food safety testing.
- Accurately record inspection results and findings in the relevant systems.
- Ensure that products meet customer requirements and certification standards, including BRCGS, IFS, GlobalG.A.P., and SKAL.
- Work closely with the Production, Warehouse, and Commercial teams to address and resolve quality issues.
- Help prevent customer complaints by identifying and reporting deviations at an early stage.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Monitor compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations on the shop floor.
Typical Daily Activities
- Inspect incoming containers and shipments.
- Conduct quality checks on orders before dispatch.
- Evaluate products according to customer and product specifications.
- Perform temperature measurements and monitoring.
- Complete quality reports and documentation.
- Liaise with Buyers and Account Managers regarding quality deviations.
- Advise Production teams on product sorting, grading, or repackaging to ensure quality standards are met.

Your Profile

- Accurate, organized, and administratively strong.
- Good command of Dutch and/or English, both spoken and written.
